Here are the facts and it has nothing to do with George Bush: Oil is traded in dollars and tends to rise when the greenback falls and makes crude cheaper for investors holding foreign currency. Oil also climbed to $112 per barrel because of violence in Nigeria ahead of the national elections which could lead to a supply interruption. If crude prices keep rising, experts say, gas could go over $4 a gallon across the U.S by summer. I believe it will be here sooner.
At what point will taxi drivers, who buy their own gas, not be able to operate the cabs? I think we are very close to that event. The only hope we have is that the cab companies will lower our lease (never happen) or the meter will be increased (the companies will then raise our leases). I see no hope. I can be homeless without working these many hours. For ten bucks I can buy a vest and fly a sign. At least I wont owe the taxi company or the gas station a dime.
I don't want to turn this into the "gas price" blog but this is about the only thing on my mind right now and I can see no real way out of this crisis. I am open to suggestions.
Oil is now destroying the coastline of Florida on Pensacola Beach. I am really glad that we have people in charge that can take care of this. Maybe they can rescue the dead sea turtle that you can see in this video. The oil is still spewing out of the hole on the Gulf Of Mexico Sea Floor with no end in sight. We are screwed. Everyone that lives on the Gulf Coast of the United States will have their lives changed in ways that we can only imagine now. I live on the west coat of Florida and work in the tourist industry - I drive a taxi cab. Tourism is very important to me. People come down for our beaches, golf courses, and great defense (Bucs). If the white sugar sand of the gulf becomes black sludge, kiss it goodbye. What is sad is that this could of been over by now if we had a President that had actually had a job before he took the highest office in the land. Did you hear him last night? This guy can hardly speak without a teleprompter in front of him. REALITY IS WHAT YOU WILL SEE BELOW.

Shrimp boat were out in the Gulf Of Mexico trying to bring in a catch. They had no choice. This is shrimp season and their families are depending on them.

Former Obama voters and supporters are directing their rage at Tony Haward of BP. It won't be long before their boy starts to get the blame.

On day 10 Obama met with "God" himself Bono of U2 in the White House. I guess this man has all the answers. I would have been meeting with engineers and scientist...but what do I know? I am just a taxi cab driver.
Many ships are now dumping at sea to save cost. I was out at one of our local beaches Sunday and the stink was beyond belief. They say there is no oil here, but where did this shit come from? What is happening to our world right under our eyes? See this video I put on YouTube.
I can't help but notice that the price of gas is going down In Tampa Florida. It can't have anything to do with the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? I don't know. I do know that oil balls are washing ashore in Key West and thats not good. We will all grow tired of that soon. Let me tell you what I am really tired of.
President Obama is one of the biggest proponents of Gulf Shore Drilling. That is why Greenpeace and all the enviro groups are pissed at him. Obama is pragmatic and knows we need oil, as well as, alternative energy. They were also pissed at the wind farm off of Nantucket Island as well.
Face it, if the current administration had been committed to the the elimination of offshore oil drilling, they have had plenty of time to enact HARD regulations, which they have done none of.
Oh, I know, this is all George Bush's fault. Deal with todays headlines. This just in.....Obama is two years into his cycle. He is in charge....ALL responsibility is on his shoulders....not Palin, not Bush, not McCain, not anyone......Obama.
