I dropped off at the Waterside Marriott in downtown Tampa. My fares were going to the Champions sports bar inside to watch game 7 of the Lightening vs Penguins tonight. After they went inside, I noticed that there were only four taxis parked in the holding area across the street from the hotel. I went over there.
I don't often sit here because the stand is usually packed with off brand taxis. This is the only place they can make a living. I guess they sit here and dream about getting a medallion. With the price of gas going over four bucks, I just don't know how you can dead-head back to this place after every fare. You have no way of knowing if you are even going to get a place in line. Not many United cab drivers here, just off brand.
I waited for a few minutes, then decided to leave. This is really not my scene. I did take a photo so you could see that I was actually there.
