The phone system was down all night at United Cab....it was down for 13 hours and no consideration was given on our lease...From 5 pm till 6:30 am the phones where down. I needed to make money to stave off a homeless situation. For whatever reason, I was able to book $230 between 3:30 am and 2:10 pm. I have no idea how; someone upstairs must be looking out for me today. I could pay my lease and my MOTEL room to at least keep a roof above my head tonight. What happens tommorow is what ever happens.
A VIEW FROM OUR ALLEY OF THE POWER COMPANY TRYING TO FIX THE MESS.

No, they really don't care about us. The company wants it all coming their way. I have no choice because as Larry says only certain types of guys can survive on the streets..I have no chance on the streets. Really. I am not one of those type of guys.

The only times I can recall United giving us a break on the lease but, rest thier soul, was when the airports were closed after 911 and one of the hurricanes.

Re: Flying a sign. I read your comment on flying a sign, when I commented on flying the sign, I never mentioned any names. But you did. I never said I made $75.oo a day every day. I did say I made better than what I had made at a slave market, "labor pool." I didn't do it that long, a few months than I got a regular driving job. When you weigh 280 pounds with a bad back it is hard to do some type of work. I was going to say congrats on your $230.00 but now after your comments on my flying the sign, maybe you should take some of the 230.00 and save it instead of renting a canoe or go chasing some "bigfoot" That would put off being "homeless" for another a day or so. Besides it take a certain type of person that can survive on the streets.

One day at a time, thats how they love to make us live...even here in NYC. Never a break on a lease fee.
