The price of gas is holding around $1.87 a gallon. That is what I payed this morning in North Tampa. As you know, cab drivers buy their own gas and that comes right out of our pocket. Last year when the price hit about 4 bucs, it almost killed me. Any higher, and the taxi industry may have come to a halt because the company would never match us on gas. It got so bad, I even had to shut this blog down because I could no longer afford it. I have this feeling that gas will be going up during the summer. What do you think?
When that happens, will they still blame George Bush?

How much is the company making off the stupid SIGNS on top of the cabs. Why do some have them and some don't? You should get a break on your lease until they all have them. probably drops your mpg by at least 2 or 3 mpg. Yellow here in pinellas at least has some that are aerodynamic?

When the gas was below $1.50 a few months ago, some guy on the radio said that it would level out at around 2.00, which is a lot better than 4.00 like it was. I went by the company yesterday and looked in the lot at all of the cars in there. I wonder if Nancy would talk to the insurance company for me??? Fat chance. But it is good to hear that you guys are doing better, even if I am not driving anymore I sill pull for you.
